Program
They have the ability.
We supply the opportunity.
At Hope Ignites Detroit, Scholars enter our community through one of two pathways: Hope Academy or the Residential Program. While each experience provides different levels of support, all Scholars grow, learn, and lead together through shared Academy programming designed to prepare them for long-term success.

SUMMER SPARK
Free Summer Program
Program Highlights:
Summer Spark is a dynamic summer experience powered by Hope Ignites Detroit for rising 6th–10th-grade Scholars. Each day mixes engaging Math and ELA skill-building with powerful conversations about social justice, leadership, and social emotional growth. Scholars will strengthen their academic spark while learning how to use their voice and make an impact in their community.
The program also includes exciting field trips, hands-on activities, and daily breakfast and lunch. Summer Sparks is where curiosity catches fire, confidence grows, and young leaders begin to light the path toward their future.
We’re Beyond A Short-term Solution.
WE TAKE A LONG-TERM AND COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH.
Residential
The Residential Program provides a safe, structured, college-prep living environment for a small number of Scholars who live at the Hope House while attending middle and high school. Residential Scholars participate fully in Hope Academy programming alongside their peers while also receiving additional daily support, mentorship, and stability within the home environment.
Academy
Hope Academy is our year-round academic and leadership program for middle and high school Scholars. Through after-school programming, workshops, field trips, college tours, service experiences, and summer opportunities, Scholars build the skills, confidence, and support systems needed to thrive academically and personally.
Collegians
After high school graduation, Scholars continue their journey through our Post-Secondary Success Program. Whether pursuing a 2-year college, 4-year university, trade school, certification, apprenticeship, or workforce training pathway, Scholars continue receiving individualized support as they transition into adulthood and career readiness.
